THESE PAGES, A RECORD OF OUR YEARS
IN ECUADOR, ARE NOT CURRENT. OUR CURRENT
HOME PAGE IS HERE.
David
Finally.
I've updated this page. For far too long visitors to this page
have
read that I'm teaching at the Nate
Saint school. That was two years ago. Since then I have taken
on the role of Information Technology Technician for the MAF Ecuador
program.
That's a fancy way of saying that it's my responsibility to take
care of the computers and the network at the hangar in Shell,
and also
at the office in Quito. Even though I enjoyed working with and
using computers for years, this has been a time of much growth
for me, as
I've been learning a new operating system called Linux.
One of the
most important tasks I have is to make sure the e-mail system
is running.
Over the years, e-mail has become a necessary tool for the missionaries
here in Shell, providing immediate communication with MAF headquarters,
supporters, and family members. If the e-mail isn't flowing, you
can be sure I'll get a phone call! I enjoy providing this service
for
the other missionaries here, and find that I really enjoy this
change from the classroom. You might like reading about what
my day is like.
I've also put together a collection
of some photos taken in Ecuador,
as well as a collection of photos
of animals I've seen here and
there. |
