Here are a few photos of the MAF program in Shell, Ecuador.

MAF Hanger in ShellThis is the MAF hanger. On the left edge of the picture is the Nate Saint house. Between the hanger and the Nate Saint house is the main road through town. In the early days, the hanger was the building behind the Nate Saint house. Planes taxied back and forth across the road to reach the runway. The current hanger can hold five Cessna 206 aircraft.
MateoMateo is one of two Ecuadorian mechanics who work for MAF. Here he's doing some routine maintenance on one of the aircraft.
OscarOscar is the other Ecuadorian mechanic. He always has a smile on his face. He was just married in late 2000, and is very active in the local church.
PilotsSandy and Jim talk about the upcoming flight. Sandy is one of the pilots, and Jim is the Ecuador Program Manager.
PanchitoPanchito is loading the plane. He loads and unloads the planes and other assorted jobs around the hanger. That's Dustin in the right seat. This was on a Friday during our Christmas vacation. We're tagging along with Sandy on a flight to a village about forty-five minutes away.
